Since the late 1980s, with the Internet and globalization of academic knowledge,
Livraria Canuto has updated its procedures and logistical systems to attend to the growing demand for price, speed and service our customers look for, reinforcing our commitment to their requirements.

Even though most of Livraria Canuto’s customers are traditionally government institutions,
in recent years we have seen a significant increase in interest from and sales to private universities.

Livraria Canuto begins its work by submitting quotations as requested by our customers,
using information from our frequently updated title database. Once these quotations are approved, titles are sorted and ordered from over 150 different publishers and suppliers
to the company. Our logistical structure enables us to deliver titles from all suppliers in an extremely short space of time at very competitive prices.

Nowadays, Livraria Canuto is the largest and best known library supplier of imported
scientific and technical publications in Brazil.  We owe this achievement to the excellence
of our services, our specialized and dedicated team, and our expertly designed logistical structure in the USA and Europe.

Livraria Canuto imports titles from Springer Verlag, Elsevier Science, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Marcel Dekker, John Wiley & Sons, Brill Academic Publishers, and the Taylor & Francis Group, as well as many others. Livraria Canuto has had an account with many of these century old-established publishers since we opened.

Livraria Canuto is currently the only company in the country that can go through the
entire process of importing scientific and technical books, from quotation to delivery,
to all the states in Brazil.
